Job Description

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations.
• Manage the accounting and finance team to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to support business decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely filings.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
• Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Accountant should have:

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

Certifications

* Active CPA is mandatory. Additional certifications (CFE, CMA) are highly desirable.

Experience

* Minimum of 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.

* Experience in high-volume transaction environments or operationally complex companies.

* Prior experience in public accounting (Big Four preferred).

Skills & Competencies

* Expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.

* Strong proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
