Position Title:
Mortgage Administrative Assistant
Reports to:
VP - Mortgage
Basic Function:
Responsible for all aspects of customer service relating specifically to greeting current and potential members, determining their initial need, and routing to loan officer or other departments as needed. Position requires a high level of clerical duties.
Responsibilities:
Greets members and potential members courteously as they arrive in the Mortgage Department as well as courteously answering phone calls for the department. Routes appointments and phone calls to prospective Loan Officers and makes appointments as necessary.
Must be able to answer basic questions regarding the mortgage loan process.
Responsibilities include clerical duties such as data entry, filing, basic initial loan processing, mail handling, issuance of checks, etc.
Should possess excellent verbal and written skills to accommodate members in person and via telephone.
Should have the ability to work independently and be able to follow verbal and written instructions proficiently.
Maintains confidentiality regarding member information with the highest regard. Properly maintains work area strictly adhering to RRCU policy regarding member privacy.
Works with various departments within the credit union and outside vendors to assure compliance for real estate.
Responsible for maintaining maintenance of office equipment in the department and ordering supplies, as needed.
Works well with co-workers and maintains a “team” attitude within the Credit Union.
Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience in customer service including but not limited to account servicing and maintenance, data entry, filing, etc. Mortgage background preferred.
High school diploma or the equivalent, with some college preferred.
Strong/advanced skills operating a personal computer including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and other software programs.
Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to operate normal office equipment and some lifting, not to exceed 25 pounds.
