The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the credit union’s financial operations by maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, this position will collaborate closely with the leadership team to support timely financial insights and strategic decision-making.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and initiative-taking Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative and member-focused environment. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, with experience in GAAP, reconciliations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, ideally within a financial institution or credit union.
The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also an effective communicator, able to translate complex financial data into clear insights for colleagues and the leadership team. This individual is highly organized, excels at prioritizing multiple responsibilities, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financial information.

Requirements
Help Us Get to Know You
The Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field and 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution or credit union. You should possess strong knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, along with proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are essential, and experience with data import tools is a plus.
The salary range for this position is approximately $75,000–$80,000 annually.
