From our founding, First Internet Bank has been leading with innovation. We opened our virtual doors in 1999 and we’ve grown from our CEO’s pioneering idea to a full-service bank with customers nation-wide and assets of more than $1 billion. As it says in our name, we were the first state-chartered, FDIC-insured bank to operate completely on the Internet. Today, we’re still making history — and we’re having a lot of fun in the process!

We are bankers, but we’re more likely to be dressed casually than constrained by an expensive suit and uncomfortable shoes. Even our newly-constructed office in Fishers, Indiana reflects a relaxed, energetic atmosphere. You’ll notice local artwork displayed on our walls, an on-site 24/7 fitness facility, comfy workspaces and even an outdoor picnic area to enjoy! And it’s not uncommon to be invited to participate in community service activities, pitch-ins, impromptu competitions or other social events that provide opportunities to interact with employees, both inside and outside of the office.

Employees are eligible for three weeks of paid vacation plus ten paid holidays, exceptional insurance, 401(k) retirement savings and health savings accounts with a generous company match program, tuition reimbursement, and paid volunteer time. When it comes to health benefits, full-time employees and their qualified dependents are eligible for benefits on the first day of employment and have multiple plan options for health, dental and vision coverage. Disability and basic life insurance are also offered to full-time employees at no additional cost.

For starters: Monthly maintenance fees are waived for employees with First IB accounts; employees receive a $50 referral reward for each new account opened by friends or family; money can be direct deposited at up to four different financial institutions; employees can send a wire or transfer funds from a First IB account to an account at another bank at no charge.
